Dr Abdullah Al Karam is the visionary Director-General of KHDA, the body charged with raising standards of education in Dubai.
Here’s an interesting article – an interview with Dr Abdullah;
I particularly liked his emphasis on; the benefits of learning in a high diversity environment, the desirability of unique offerings from schools in a climate where private education should offer choice at different price points and educational innovation. He emphasises that competition is the best determinant of value for money and quality.
Finally, I loved his emphasis on schools and the education environment as a place of happiness! I’m all in favour of happy schools!
