Arguments About Cursive Writing

Here’s a thought provoking short piece that looks at the reactions in the US to the fact that in most states cursive writing has been dropped from the school curriculum.   1. Print writing uses one side of the brain where as cursive uses both sides of the brain. That’s what development of higher cognition through handwriting means. India and the Indian emphasis on neat, beautiful writing isn’t a crazy thing but as usual we take it too far sometimes.
