Soccer League – First Sunday

Freezing?…but who says it’s cold! You should have been at the Shri Ram School, Moulsari campus early Sunday morning. There was much heat and dust there. Cold was nowhere to be felt. Because it was the opening day of the much-awaited Shri Soccer League!

They all turned up bright and sprite. And we are talking about Classes II to V. And they fought fair and square for every inch of the field. At the end of the day, everyone, winners and losers, rejoiced. Because the pride was not just in winning but in taking part too. And they have promised to come back for more next week, come fog, rain or freeze.

Parents had turned up in force well before School Principal Komal Sood (she was seen rubbing here hands in…glee, or was it the cold?) inaugurated the tournament. PE Coordinator Chitvan Kaur explained the concept of the League to all assembled. Harish Sharma, League Coordinator, had the broadest of smiles on the day as his and his teams all-out efforts finally bore fruit.

  1. The cold, actually, was not much of a bother. It’s preferable anyday to energy-sapping heat. What I missed was the space to warm up and practice before the match.

But we’ll get used to this too 🙂

  2. Wow !That’s a spirit of India’s one of the best and leading school proving to be determined to keep number one slot for ever,,,,,,BrAVO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
